The Way Through Gildredge Wood tells the story of three children learning ‘the Gildredge House Way’ as they journey through a magical wood. Whilst the architecture of the story is constructed around Gildredge House school’s ethos and brand, key story elements and illustrations were created by the children themselves. The project created a beautiful synergy between the school’s brand aspirations and the children’s appetite to imagine and dream.
This project stemmed from a personal desire to connect children with the power of storytelling, and to help them interact with it as a discipline that’s as empowering to their development as other core subjects. It also provides children with a natural gift for storytelling a vary tangible project in which they can truly shine and enjoy the power of their imagination.
